March was full of movies and series. Maybe it was the post-Oscars glow, or maybe it was just the weather telling me to stay in and press play. Some nominated titles are still on my to-watch list, but here’s what I did see.
Cassandra
Let’s start with a genre I secretly love: robots ruining domestic life. Cassandra is a German Netflix series about a high-tech house and its AI housekeeper, who turns out to be a little… intense. She was once a real woman in the 1970s, now trapped inside a robot body, and she really wants to be part of the new family. Forever.
It looks amazing—retro-futuristic, lots of vintage tech, moody lighting.
A great pick for dinner viewing… just don’t be surprised if your smart speaker starts to feel a little too smart.
Bridget Jones 4: Mad About the Boy
Went to the cinema for some romance, but got something a bit deeper. This one’s more about growing up, loss, and figuring out who you are after life doesn’t go as planned. Maybe it’s age, maybe it’s the serotonin from holding my boyfriend’s hand in the dark, but it did hit me in a gentle way.
Partenope
This one made me miss my early 20s – the reckless confidence, the feeling of being invincible, the idea that your youth was a form of currency. Paolo Sorrentino directs this dreamy coming-of-age film about a girl named Partenope growing up in Naples. It’s about beauty, power, and the fleeting nature of both. Hits harder if you’ve ever looked back and missed your younger self – even if you had no idea what you were doing back then.
Flow
This one is special. An animated film with no humans, no dialogue, just animals trying to survive in a strange world after some kind of apocalypse. It’s a meditation on survival and connection, without anyone explaining it to you. Think Wall-E meets an arthouse short. I loved it.
Nosferatu (2024 remake)
I really wanted to love this. Robert Eggers directs this moody, dark remake of the 1922 horror classic. But I… fell asleep. Like, fully asleep. Not because it’s bad, just because it’s slow and quiet and the cinema chair was warm. I might try again one day, but for now it goes into my 'watched while unconscious' list.
Adolescence
This 4-part series hit hard. Raw, real, and surprisingly poetic, it explores the digital lives of teenagers today – and how their realities are shaped, warped, and sometimes crushed by the omnipresence of social media. It made me so grateful to have grown up during the early days of the internet, back when Nasza Klasa and bad Epuls layouts were our only real pressures. If you haven’t seen it, you should.
Here’s a really interesting making-of video too:

The White Lotus (Season 3)
The only show I managed to nap through and enjoy. This time, the wealthy chaos happens in Thailand, and it’s as gorgeous, mean, and addictive as ever. I didn’t catch every single moment (bedtime viewing = brain at 40%), but the final episode tied things up nicely. Plus, watching the upper class suffer never gets old.
That was March—full of pretty visuals, robots with emotional baggage, nostalgic longing, lots of solid naps.
In April, I need a break from all this watching. No more movies or shows for a while…
except for the new season of Black Mirror. That one I’m definitely watching.
